HIGHLANDS OPERA CLUB DIRECTOR / ASSISTANT TO THE GENERAL DIRECTOR / BOX OFFICE MANAGER

I am so happy to be joining the team at Highlands Opera Studio! I look forward to bringing my love of Opera, Live Theatre and the Haliburton Highlands to the youth, young adults and community at large involved in your activities. I have Vulnerable Sector Certification and have decades of valuable experience, currently work with a world leading youth organization, and look forward to being part of the team at Highlands Opera Studio and everything they have to offer.

Objective: Assist a great organization in achieving their goals with maximum efficiency, team and client satisfaction and overall profitability.

Highlights of Qualifications:

  • Eight years experience as a Law Clerk and Legal Secretary in Criminal, Constitutional and Tax Law.
  • Nine years experience as an Entrepreneur and Collaborator in the Outdoor Adventure Industry.
  • Twenty plus years of working with youth organizations, schools, camps and sports teams to provide education, training, risk management, team building, and fun in a variety of environments
  • A decade of Marketing and Sales experience in several industries including not-for-profit.
  • Over a decade of experience designing and delivering effective training and teambuilding.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and update company systems and procedures incl. HR, Sales, Production and Health & Safety
  • Received the OHvation Designation for Customer Service Excellence for Deep Roots Adventure from Ontario Highlands Tourism Organization, and a consistent five star rating on Tripadvisor and Google. ⭑Demonstrated commitment to integrity, attention to detail and logistics management.

Administrative

  • Professional, confidential, accurate and timely, client relations and correspondence ⭑ Scheduling meetings, calls, travel and accommodations
  • Event planning and implementation for both youth and adults
  • Digital marketing and technologies such as social media, website building etc.
  • Quickbooks, including accounts payable, invoicing, expenses and payroll
  • Typing over 50 WPM including dictation and transcription
  • Solid organization and logistical skills
  • Able to work well solo, and in collaboration with a team with tasks from several people/department.
