Efraín Corralejo

Efrain Corralejo is a promising young tenor with colorful voice with an easy top and a powerful center.He was born in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico. He is a graduate of the Francisco Araiza Tenor Artistic Excellence Chair of the National Conservatory of Music and has a degree in Opera Singing from the INBAL Superior School of Music in Mexico City. He also graduated from the Fine Arts Opera Studio, generation 2020-2021 and 2021-2022.
In November 2019, he made his international debut in Rossini's opera The Barber of Seville, as the Count of Almaviva with the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, and in the same year he performed an opera gala, as well as he participated as Tenor Soloist in Verdi's Requiem in the State of Colorado, United States.
Winner of the Laffont Contest auditions in December 2021 in the district of Mexico. He was a finalist at The Dallas Opera Competition in October 2021. Winner of the audience award at the Linus Lerner International Singing Competition 2020. He was the winner in 2019 of the Regional Round of the Metropolitan Opera Council of New York in the City of Pittsburgh, United States. In the following Round in the city of Detroit, he was awarded an Encouragement award. He was the winner in the first annual auditions of the Metropolitan Opera Council of New York in the District of Mexico in 2018 and in the Regional Round and in New Orleans, United States. He was awarded an Incentive Award and recognition for his honorable participation.
In his repertoire he has sung: Ramiro from La Cenerentola, Ernesto from Don Pasquale, Alfredo from La Traviata, Rodolfo from La Boheme, Tonio from The Daughter of the Regiment, Tamino from The magic Flute, Nemorino from Elixir of love, The Count of Almaviva from The Barber of Seville, Kaspar in Almahl and the nocturnal visitors, Mozart's Requiem, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Handel's Messiah and Mozart's Penitent David.
He makes his debut at the Palacio de Bellas Artes on June 30, 2018 in the final concert of the Francisco Araiza Chair performing Die Winterreise by F. Schubert accompanied by the pianist Alexander Pashkov.
